SO WHAT IS LINEHAULER?
LINEHAULER is a tabletop board game based on the Road Transport Industry – primarily Linehauler and is an all round entertaining family game with a transport theme, for 4 – 6 players.
Object of the game
Select your Truck, Transport freight and goods throughout Australia. Experience the challenges and encounter numerous obstacles or maximise opportunities that add excitement and frustrations to the game. Upgrade your fleet from Rigid to Semi, then B Double and Road Train to become — AUSSIE ROAD TRAIN – CHAMPION.
Gameplay
- All players commence with a Rigid Truck and select a home city along with a matching coloured truck.
- Each player in turn selects a manifest card and proceeds to the destination on the card.
- Manifest cards show the destination, $ value of the load and may contain special instructions such as:
- Express or Local delivery
- Dangerous Goods or Long Wide load
- Air Cargo or Sea-Cargo
- Escort or Pilot services.
- Players have the opportunity to:
- Upgrade their Rigid truck to a Semi
- Semi onto a B-Double
- And finally a Road Train
- Manifest payments increase accordingly to vehicle class but costs also increase.
- Whilst travelling their designated routes, players may encounter:
- Logbook Stops
- Weigh Scales
- Detours
- There is Fire, Flood or Roadwork delays and Narrow Bridges, Tunnels and Double Yellow line restrictions or Tyre and Mechanical breakdowns to contend with plus much more.
- Opportunities exist to purchase properties such as Fuel or Food stops, Rest Areas or Mechanical and Tyre outlets.
- There are also special licensed services such as Tow Truck or Pilot and Escort.
- Take your chances with the Payday and Fifth Wheel cards.
- Test your skills to complete an Express delivery within time limits.
- Be the first to reach the goal of AUSSIE ROAD TRAIN – CHAMPION.
